PELVIC HEALTH & SPORTS PHYSICAL THERAPY
I help people overcome pain, learn to move better, and confidently take their life and health back by working collaboratively to develop the best possible plan for your unique body.
By spending time listening to your story, your needs, and your goals, we can get you back on the mats confidently, in the gym regularly, and in a routine of healthy living that you actually enjoy!
Meet Dr. Kira Markus, PT
Cert-DN, Cert-Pelvic, CF-L1, Cert-CMFA
I am a passionate orthopedic and pelvic health Physical Therapist. I am also a crossfit and Jiu Jitsu athlete. As a former coach and current competitor, I understand what your body needs for the crazy sports we do.
On The Roll Physical Therapy was born after I started Jiu Jitsu in early 2021. I saw a huge need for physical therapy, rehab, and prehab in our community. In an effort to answer as many people’s questions as possible, I started producing online content for FAQs and doing in person workshops at local gyms. From there my business was born and I’ve been working to grow ever since to be able to help as many people as possible!
Welcome, I’m glad you’re here!
READY TO ROLL?
If traditional Physical Therapy (PT) has failed you, or you are not sure what PT even is, you’re in the right place! I've seen it time and time again where patients are failed by the healthcare system either from lack of time, poor quality care, or worse yet a doctor telling you to just quit your sport. I help people to overcome their pain, to learn to move better, and to confidently take their life and health back. I’m passionate about 1-1 care and (p)rehab. Every body is different and you’re a unique person who deserves a unique care plan. I will listen to you and work with you to come up with the most effective and efficient plan for getting you to you 2.0.
My goal is to keep everyone on the mats, in the gym, and on the roll!

Dry needling as an adjunct to treatment
-
If you have any areas of tight or irritated muscles or joints - dry needling can help! It’s the application of thin, solid needles into a muscle's trigger or pain points to alleviate pain and improve movement by stimulating a healing response.
-
If you’ve been struggling with not participating in life, lifting, or sex because of fear, pain, or embarrassment around peeing, pooping, or anything pelvis related - let’s talk. You don’t have to live like that anymore!
I also offer pelvic floor dry needling which can be a powerful tool to alleviate most pelvic floor sypmtoms.
-
If you’d like to learn how to properly squat, deadlift, bench, clean, snatch, or just do a dumbbell row - I can help you figure out the best pattern of movement for YOUR body.
-
This full-body performance evaluation is for athletes and active humans who aren’t necessarily in pain but know something feels “off” or want to make sure nothing is quietly limiting their performance.
We assess how your entire system works together - mobility, strength, coordination, breathing, and load management - to identify inefficiencies, asymmetries, or movement strategies that could be holding you back or setting you up for injury.
The goal isn’t to make you feel broken, but to give you clear insight into how your body actually moves and a targeted plan to train smarter, move better, and perform at a higher level long-term.
-
If you’re already feeling good and moving well, but looking to get onto a program of lifting that will keep you moving and feeling good for the long term - this programming may be for you!
-
If you’re struggling with lingering pain or injury and can’t seem to move past it, but want to learn how to deal with the mental and emotional side of injury in a self paced course - the mini course is for you!
